— Monday, February 27, 2006 — Q Scott, are you saying if this port deal goes south we are going to lose the United Arab Emirates as an ally in the war against terrorism? And if so, so what? We've got aircraft carriers in other nations, Saudi Arabia -- is it that important to us? MR. McCLELLAN: Well, I don't know why you could say "so what." I mean, partnerships are critical in the war on terrorism, and certainly partnerships from Middle Eastern countries like the United Arab Emirates are important in the broader war on terrorism and meeting our important foreign policy objectives.
