I saw the first chink in Obama's armour today in his choice of Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs. While Mr. Gibbs has been a good soldier for President Obama he is a extremely poor orator. The fact is he thinks well on his feet when responding, yet that matters little. I am quite sure he might even keep his position, however it is a HUGE blunder to have him as the face of the Obama administration. The face needs to be an outstanding orator when he reads a statement or goes through his talking points, Mr. Gibbs is not strong enough in this position. The Obama team looks amateurish. Robert Gibbs recieved an F for Fail today.
Why am I saying this? Me, Mr. Obama's biggest supporter? Simple facts dictate that I do and if I don't, someone else will as time goes on. Specifically what is my beef?

1) First and foremost he must have used "ahh" 200 times (at least 30- 40 in his opening 3 -4 minute statement) the contrast between he and Obama is drastic. In one sentence he ahhed his way through seven times in a single sentence.

2) He has a snide laugh that belittles his position as speaker for not only the administration, BUT Obama himself.

3) He is a bit condescending and this is not an image that is consistent with Obama.

4) He came off as more interested in joking with the assembled media than discussing the various situations in a serious manner.

All and all this was a disaster of HUGE proportions that my guy Obama needs to address before the next press conference. I am disappointed no one recognized this obvious weakness in their(scratch that OUR) team. Loyalty need to be rewarded, yet not at the expense of the team. The team needs to get the tape of this conference and count Mr. Gibb's Ahhs. In fact, as I know Mr. Gibbs is a team player, he should do this himself, and remove himself from this responsibility for the good of the team. The main problem with Uh or Ah is that they rhyme with and sound like DUH.
